This is my old telescope setup. It is actually installed in my loft and faces out (directly south) through a velux window. This setup has many restrictions on what can be viewed when. For best viewing particularly of planets I have to let the loft equilibrate with the outside temperature before viewing. It does however have three key advantages . One, it is a permanent setup that can be used quickly with no time lost transporting, setting up and aligning. Two, it enables direct connection to a PC for telescope guiding and camera connection and three, its always dry!
