PhNext we look at the clouds of Gas or Nebulosity between and around the stars










































































                                                                                                                      The constellation of Orion on the left showing the tremendous amount of dust and gas  associated with this part of the sky.
                                                                                                                         Visually all you can see are the main stars of the constellation with the giant red star “Betelgeuse” top left and the much
                                                                                                                     hotter blue “Rigel”bottom right.  The  three stars forming Orions belt and the fuzzy patch in the sword area which is the Great

                                                                                                                        Orion Nebula of M42.  Through a telescope this nebula is one of the most detailed in the sky and its intricate structure can
                                                                                                                                        be seen more closely above (with the horse head nebula) and even more closely on the right.
