PhMore clusters within and some orbiting our Galaxy
























































               More well known open clusters are the “wild duck cluster” M11 (top
               opposite) and the “double cluster” in Perseus (bottom opposite).


               Some clusters such as the Seven Sisters (above) also have gas clouds
               assosiated with them to give patches of blue “reflection” nebulosity.


               The more compact globular clusters such as M15 on the right of this
               page are also quite common and consist of many thousands of stars
               closely packed into ball which closely orbits our Galaxy.
