Smaller patches of nebulosity can also be
found all over the sky. A lot have a distinct
ring or disc structure and are usually referred
to as Planetary nebula. These are the result of
star supernova explosions.
On this page we have the Dumbbell Nebula
(M27) above and the Ring Nebula in Lyra
(M57) top right together with the Crab Nebula
(M1) bottom right. and the Eskimo Nebula
(NGC2392) below
