The “
Messier 81 (also known as Bode's Galaxy) is a spiral
galaxy about 12 million light-years away in the
constellation Ursa Major. Its sister Galaxy M82 is
nearly edge on to our galaxy and it also has a central
area of a complex network of dusty filaments.
